A possibility: At the start of the ceremony bring the rings forward – and invite the family and friends to pray a blessing upon the rings – they will be passed around the congregation while the opening prayers – readings and homily are shared – and then collected just prior to the sharing of the vows. They are now collected by the best man – and brought forth and held by the couple as the Priest prays a blessing upon them.
