Emma Nesbitt

Many are aware of Emma, who is in hospital after an accident left her with burns to her upper body. Her family is part of our parish and to help cheer her up during her recovery I thought we as a parish could make a blanket she can keep with her. This will be done by anyone who wishes to decorate a square to be made into a blanket. So if you are interested this is what you need to do.

It needs to be a square piece of fabric from any cotton type material (such as quilting fabric for an example). It needs to measure 20 by 20cm with a 2cm border around each edge that does not have any decorations on it so it can sew it into a blanket.

Make sure any materials you use to decorate are washable/waterproof so use things like fabric paint or permanent markers. You can decorate it however you want just make sure you’re name is on it somewhere.

If you have any questions please don’t hesitate to give Ruthie a call on 0401 069 073. Please leave a message if I don’t answer or send me a txt.

You can leave your decorated square at the parish office or in the sacristy after a mass.

Please make sure all squares are handed asap - it would be great to have the blanket completed by Easter.

Thanks and God bless,

Ruthie
