At Confirmation, we are sealed with gifts and fruits of the Holy Spirit, who strengthens and guides our faith.

We have a 4 stage approach and encourage families to help their children participate in each stage.   

Reflection - Preparation - Ceremony - Living the Sacrament.

We ask families for a $50 contribution towards the cost of the Sacramental program.

Your child's Confirmation journey starts with an Enrolment Ritual.   Mark a mass at Bosco Church on  Sat.28th May at 6pm or 

Sun 29 May - 8am, 9.30pm or 6pm.

Stage 1: Reflection

The Information Journey Session is for all Confirmation candidates and their parent/carer .

Date - Tues 24 May at 4pm or Thurs 26 May at 7pm in Parish Centre

Stage 2: Preparation

2 Special Occasions to Focus with the Community on aspects of the Sacrament:

QR code when you arrive and there is a response for your child to complete at the end of each session.

2 Focus Sessions at Masses

a chance to be involved in your child's journey and for your child to see in the context of liturgy where confirmation comes from (Pentecost) and where it is pointing us (to Mission)

Preparation by teachers/catechists:  

Children from the parish who attend schools other than SJB Primary/College will need to complete preparation sessions.

Sacramental Workshop - Candle making: 

Parents are invited by the Family Educator (Tracey Richardson) to come and reflect upon their child’s Sacramental journey and make a candle for their child. Should you have any enquiries regarding the candle making workshop, please contact Tracey - Email tracey.richardson@syd.catholic.edu.au

Sponsor Evening: 

James, our Youth minister is organising an evening for the candidates and sponsors to spend time together to reflect on the beautiful gift of the Sacrament of Confirmation.  

Friday 29 July from 7.30pm to 9pm in the St John Bosco Primary school hall.

CONFIRMATION MASS PRACTICES IN CHURCH

(Practice will be the day before the Confirmations: approximately 45 minutes)

Mon 1st Aug -       4pm - for Tues 2nd Aug

Thurs 4th Aug -    4 pm - for Fri. 5th.  

Mon 8th Aug -       4 pm for Tues 9th Aug

 Celebration
