Property Group
Managing the Parish Properties is a very extensive and broad reaching role. For this reason, the Finance committee has a sub group who are experienced in property matters, and they make recommendations back to the Finance Committee.
The Property Team: Father Jose Pazheparambil, John Day, Paul Dewberry, Brian Fitzgerald and Kevin Gurney.
Role of the Property Team: The Parish has eight properties: Heathcote and Engadine Churches, The Parish Community Centre, The Presbytery, 80 Banskia Ave, 44 Waratah Road, 23 Nirimba Cres and the convent. The Property Teams responsibilities fall into four categories:
Maintenance and Insurance
Ensure all building are adequately insured
Ensure the volunteer teams have suitable equipment and people to perform their work
Ensure all buildings are well maintained and safe
Engage contractors where required
Future Planning
Review adequacy and appropriateness of each building and plan redevelopment as needed, well into the future
Project Development
Arising from the Future Plans, each new development or redevelopment must be planned
Engage Project Manager and Architects as required.
Develop plans
Obtain approvals from Parishioners, Archdiocese, Council and Salesian Provincial where required
Project Supervision
Keep Parishioners informed and gain feedback as necessary
Engage builders
Attend weekly meetings with all parties
